Sculptural masterpiece Memento Mori.

Unique example of life-size polychrome plaster sculpture.

A bust of a gentleman executed with very high quality execution, with a removable facial mask that hides his skull inside, also in plaster.

We have in the past sold a plaster sculptural pair of the same feature with the mask. Here the sculpture is of another qualitative level.

Inside the skull there is real hair, the eyes of the mask are in glass, the buttons of the jacket are cast in bronze and then applied in the sculpture, even the angel around the neck is metallic.

Here we are talking about a real work of art. On the reverse is a Latin plaque dated 1788-1801.
