The really amazing peculiarity and originality is the double representation of the face. Apparently looking at the sculpture from the front, you always see a bust of a distinguished gentleman.

But in reality his face is just a hooked mask that hides underneath the true identity of the sculpture, that is a skull. Wonderful. As you can see in the shop there is the sculpture made with the same technique but with a female figure.

It is probable that the sculpture has undergone small restorations, this detail can be deduced from the fact that for example the internal part of the masks have been covered with old newspapers from the early 1900s.
