Head plate of Saint Joan the Baptist.

Polychrome plaster sculpture of the Saint, glass eyes and with decapitated head placed on a circular plate in painted sheet metal with decorations.

The sculpture is anchored with a pin in the center.

The plate can therefore be hung on the wall using the various buttonholes made as embellishments.

Italy 19th century.

Dimensions:

Plate diameter 49 cm (19.3") Depth 14 cm (5.5")

Dimensions of the sculpture alone approximately 17 x 14 cm (6.7" x 5.5")
