Rare esoteric Memento Mori necklace made with ancient grains (late 19th century) which are seed pods of the water caltrop Trapa Natans Bicornis, commonly known as the devil's pod or water chestnut.

These pods were used for the construction of ecclesiastical Rosaries. In this regard, in fact, this article is not a Rosary, it has 22 grains arranged continuously in the choker part, in the pendant part 3 other single grains, a large one made up of 4 pods that form a cross, and in the terminal part a magnificent sculpture in soft wood with Half the Christ and half a Skull.

The necklace is very light, weighing only 45 grams.

The choker part measures approximately 70 cm (27.5")in circumference.
